Campus Philly hosts Welcome Back Day for College Students that features free admission to 15 museums and attractions, city-wide discounts, contests, giveaways, entertainment and culture!

On September 24th, Campus Philly, in partnership with the City of Philadelphia and 15 popular cultural attractions, will welcome new and returning college students to Greater Philadelphia at Campus Philly College Day 2011: a city-wide day of entertainment, culture, discounts, giveaways and more, all free to students with a valid college ID.

Campus Philly College Day 2011 includes free admission for college students, with valid ID, to 15 museums and attractions, including the Academy of Natural Sciences , African American Museum in Philadelphia , the Betsy Ross House, Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, Eastern State Penitentiary, Fairmount Park Art Association’s Public Art, Free Library of Philadelphia, the Galleries at Moore College of Art & Design, Liberty 360, National Constitution Center, National Museum of American Jewish History, Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Philadelphia Park Liberty Carousel and Philadelphia-themed Mini Golf at Franklin Square. Students can access each location through a free bus loop, as well as the Phlash trolley, which will be free to students with ID courtesy of Center City District.

In addition, Campus Philly has partnered with local tour group Free Tours By Foot to offer free tours of all three featured College Day neighborhoods—Parkway Museums District, Rittenhouse Square, Historic Philadelphia. Area businesses will also offer special, one day only discounts for students who present their Campus Philly Discount Tag, available at Campus Philly locations throughout the day.

College Day extends into evening with a Summit Entertainment free screening of the new movie 50/50 starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogan at The Pearl Theatre at Avenue North (1600 North Broad Street) beginning at 7 p.m., as well as the POPPED! Music Festival, taking place at FDR Park (Broad & Pattison) on September 23th and 24th featuring three stages of live music, DJ’s, stand-up comedy and a unique Food Bazaar curated by Philadelphia chefs, Citypaper’s Mealticket and Philly Homegrown.

Until September 16, Campus Philly and POPPED!  Music Festival are offering a special discount on tickets for college students through a code available on the College Day Website until September 16th.
